My brain is still trying to fit inside its bone structure. What an experience. Thank you everyone, next year is a mere 359.33 days away.

Great meeting you, Wiley! Maybe they can incorporate a "countdown to IGC" on the website.
Cheers,
Lynn

Jason - seems the PM has become a victim of the upgrades, I'll try again later.
Lynn - Thanks for all you did, you are a true treasure.

No worries, Wiley. I have it now from Neil's message.

Just wanted to throw a post up to let everyone know how much I appreciated meeting all of you. I had a great time at the IGC, and truly enjoyed the instructors and workshops, but nothing can compare to meeting, talking and playing with those of you I had the chance to spend some time with. Thank you all very much!

Did anyone end up with my CF Martin hoodie (brown)?
I probably left it in the dining room....

Finally emerging from our relocation, just in time to join you all tomorrow. On the downside, I've hardly played for over a month; on the upside, what a great way to dive back in and meet so many of you "old friends" for the first time.

Hi Stuart,
Great! See you at camp! (you had set up this group and sort of dis-appeared - I was afraid you had to cancel.)

I wouldn't miss it for the world. Just got overwhelmed by everything involved in moving house from the UK to CA, so dropped out of sight for a while. I'm heading out in just a few minutes to drive down -- just as soon as I can find the address of the camp.

Hey gang,
I just got off the phone with Richard and he is happy starting at 2:30, especially in the interest of getting to the IGC around 5:00.
They can handle exactly 10 people so I will go back to the post and check the list.
It is about 1 hour from SJC to the SCGC shop the about 30 minutes back to the Quaker Center.
jimcjimcjimcjimc on Monday, 16 September 2013 14:50

I notice from the forum post that Ron - Rbinding - has moved from waiting list to confirmed. Ron is scheduled to get into SJC at 1:20. If he is and his luggage is on time, he could make the factory tour by 2:30. Is there anyone else that could pick him up and drive him to the factory - and then I could just do my pickup at SFO?

Jim

I'm going on the factory tour and I have room for a couple passengers, so I'd be happy to pick Ron up at SJC and drive to the tour and then to the quaker center.

jimcjimcjimcjimc on Monday, 16 September 2013 16:47

Great! I sent you and Ron & Paul an email to confirm and share cell numbers.

RbindingRbinding on Tuesday, 17 September 2013 09:16

Thanks for picking that up Jim. And thanks Steve for picking me up. I'll confirm with you by email.

You guys all squared away? Just saw this. If anything changes and a ride is still needed, just PM me and we can work something out.

Hey everyone. In response to the post below questioning the SCG factory tour, I called them this morning. Here is a link with a map:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Santa+Cruz+Guitar+Factory+Location&hl=en&ll=36.983803,-122.02682&spn=0.027665,0.066047&hq=Guitar+Factory&hnear=Santa+Cruz,+California&t=m&z=15

The address is 151 Harvey West Blvd., Suite C
Santa Cruz, CA

The site says tours start at 2:30, and the lady told me the same, but I am sure Neil and Richard have the 3:00 slot worked out. Might not be a bad idea to show a little early just in case...

Hi guys and girls. What are the arrangements for the Santa Cruise Guitar tour? Are we meeting up there, or at the camp first? or plans not finalised?

Sorry if I've missed this, i've been awol this week.

The SCGC tour is at 3:00 and camp check in is at 5:00. I can't speak for all, but I know at least few are planning to take the tour before going on to camp. I think the geography lays out that way, too. That is, driving from San Jose airport, SCGC is on the way (sort of) to the Quaker Center.

Music JunkieMusic Junkie on Sunday, 15 September 2013 20:21

Not sure Tom. I am planning on going, but I don't know if we are supposed to meet up somewhere first, or just meet there at 3pm. If you are going to be hanging out before hand, Rick and I will be nosing around the San Jose area on Thursday morning, just killing time.

jimcjimcjimcjimc on Sunday, 15 September 2013 23:53

My understanding is you cannot check into the camp before 5PM. So, if you are going on the guitar factory tour, you need to be at the factory at 3PM. (And it not on the way from the airport.)
