Tears In Heaven is one of Eric Clapton's most heartfelt songs, and a great addition to the world songbook. The guitar accompaniment is a challenging undertaking for most guitar students, but completely accessible with a bit of work. This lesson looks specifically at much of wht Eric plays, but mostly addresses fingerpicking styles that can be used for this type of song.
Neil, When you insert notes, (hammer on the 5th string in A chord-before the chorus) in your video presentation that you don't have written into the TAB; it is very difficult to follow you.
It takes a lot of time to figure out what you're doing. Please try to match the dvd explanation to the written tab. Thanks, Len.

Great lesson. The tip on the chord structure first, followed by picking was just what I needed to get my 10 year old son in the groove.

Enjoyed the lesson. However, I would have also liked to see the 2nd guitar part. As a soloist, I would want to meld the two.

Very confused. Tears in Heaven lesson?? Not really a lesson more of a look at me I can play it and I know all about the why and where the song was wrote, oh and also Eric uses his thumb etc etc etc.. To much info and not enough lesson. Please make teh lessons clearer, simple and keep to the lesson and not a history lesson to boot. This is my second purchase, the first one being Dust in the wind, no complaints there, a guitar lesson ...Tears in Heaven, 3 downloads, 8 videos only viewable on a PC and full of waffle..

If I sign on for monthly access through "Target Access" will I be able to: a)slow the lesson down; b)zoom in on his left and right hand; c)access over and over again until I get it?

What a buitifull song , an instrumental in its own right. No way can I sing as high as Eric does, but the verse can be sung an octive lower but then you decend to low in the bridge.
