Cat’s In The Cradle - Guitar Lesson
Songs & Artists - Harry Chapin

Charts, TAB, and Guitar Pro Files are only made available to our TARGET Members *Cat’s In The Cradle*by Harry Chapin, is the only song of his that became a #1 hit, partly because most of his stories were to long to be radio-friendly. The song started as a poem by his wife Sandy, about her prior husband’s relationship with his father and when Harry and Sandy’s son Josh was born, Harry turned it into one of the most wrenching songs of all time. The guitar is played with a capo at the 7^th fret in the lesson (although the original was at the 8^th ), using very basic chords and fingerpicking. The lesson addresses a couple of different accompaniment techniques that the student should already be familiar with.

I've been a member for a few years. I pay $19.99 a month for full access and have no problems. Maybe if you don't expect to get someone's services for free, you will be happy. This is someone's business. Their monthly fee is more than reasonable!written by Veronica24, December 31, 2015
Neil is a great teacher. Love the explanations and the extra efforts he puts in. This is a great site with many helpful and great lessons. Thanks Neil!!!written by rmode777, June 24, 2015
What I've grown to appreciate about Neil is that he doesn't spoon feed everything. He gives us enough to get the sound basics and encourages us--with some advice--to make the songs our own. After years of playing transcriptions on guitar and piano note for note, I'm enjoying discovering the music in me through playing with other people's songs. Do you really want to learn how to play EXACTLY how someone else plays something? Why not just buy the song? It's very challenging and scarey, but if you give it a chance you will find it quite rewarding. Cheers!written by crashcup, December 30, 2013
Why is the TAB PDF only the intro and not the whole song? written by blueser100, May 27, 2013
if it were free you'd still be complaining. Everyone has to make a living. "its not that it takes 10 minutes to teach it really takes years of the man's life of instruction" Thanks Neilwritten by billjulian, January 30, 2013
